Chipping away at the orders (and a tiny little setback)

Hi friends!
It's been a while since an update so I thought I'd check in! After my last update, I was confident we were going to finish way ahead of schedule. Things were moving at lightning speed it felt like! But while we're still well within schedule, things over here have slowed down a little bit and not without good reason.
There were still a lot of products that we had to hand make (such as finishing up all of the stickers, putting the pins on their backing cards and hand pressing the pin banners and making all the branding!). Still, a few weeks ago my arms were really hurting. The physio gave me the diagnosis of a double tennis elbow and told me in no uncertain terms that I had to drop everything I was doing immediately. Yikes!
This put a damper on my joy of finishing the Kickstarter extra quickly and put me in a pickle because I wasn’t allowed to use my arm in the run-up to my biggest (and only) big event of the year! I had to accept that I wouldn’t be able to ship the whole Kickstarter before Twitchcon (which had been my hope). Nevertheless, with my partner working as my arms we managed to finish all the prep work for the con and this past weekend we had a successful Twitchcon EU. Now that the con is in my rearview mirror I can put all my energy and attention back towards the Kickstarter! Yay! 🥳
While I still have to take significant rest to recover from the con (my poor arms especially) I’ll slowly be chipping away at the Kickstarter orders one at a time.
In the meantime, have a peek at the finished Pin Banners. Don’t they look just wonderful?? 🤩
I want to thank you all for your patience. Hopefully, my next update to you will be that everything has been shipped! (We can be positive, right?! :D)

Locking Orders & So many product photos!

Hello hello!!
How have you been? I've been a bit quiet on the updating front but I've been working hard behind the scenes! I am so excited to show you all the products that have come in or that I've been working on making! No only are the pins all prepped for you, I've also received the Mousepads and the Bookmarks AND made all the stickers (including some small freebies that you'll all be receiving in your orders! 🥳)
Before we get to the fun stuff (pictures!) I want to let you know about something very important;
I will be Locking Orders in 48 hours
With so many of the products done, I am preparing to go from the production phase to the packing phase! YAY! 🥳 (That's nearly 3 months ahead of schedule!! 😁) In order to make sure I can continue on without a break I'll be locking all the orders through Backerkit in 48 hours. This means that after those 48 hours you won't be able to make any more changes to your order, so you won't be able to add any additional items, or make any changes to your order after that time. You will be receiving an email from Backerkit about that shortly after you've received this update. I'm letting you know here, so that you'll know it's coming :)
You will still be able to update your shipping address after the 48 hours. So no worries there. If you've ordered any additional items, Backerkit will be collecting that from your creditcards after this time.

Looking at all of these things together just fills me with SO much joy. I've tried to photograph the pins for you in various lighting so you can see the different details and effects too! ^_^
What's next?
You will receive an email from backerkit to let you know that your orders will be locked within 48 hours, they'll take any additional funds from your cards and send them to me.
In the meantime I'll get to work on producing the pin banners, the prints and all the packaging for our beautiful new collection! After all of those are finished, I'll get started with packing and shipping it all to you! The way things are looking right now they might all be out the door before July rolls around. Let's keep our fingers crossed for smooth sailing from hereon out so you can all get your goodies as soon as humanly possible 😁

Hello friends!
As I mentioned in my last update, after receiving the funds from Kickstarter we always start with a long wait. A wait that seems to be coming to an end now 👀
After receiving the funds I prepared all the files and ordered all the necessary products from my manufacturers and then went on a much needed little vacation. Today is my first day back to work and I have something *very* exciting to show you. The first photos of the pins!! 😁
These photos were sent over by my manufacturer and I think they look incredible!! 🤩 I can't wait to get receive them and give you all some real life updates on what they look like 🥰
I've also received word that the Mousepads are en route to me so it can't be long until I'll be receiving those and be able to send you a real live photo of them too.
This means that in the upcoming weeks while I wait for all the items to arrive I'll be getting started on all the manual work of printing and cutting and pressing. I'm very happy with the pin banner fabric quality but I don't like the string they used, it feels too flimsy to me. So I'll be buying some custom string/rope and fixing all of that myself too :)
Besides the products I'll also be designing all the branding stuff that make it so much fun to open your packages when they arrive in your home. After that it's just a case of putting together your packages and sending them all your way!
At this moment we are well ahead of schedule! 😃
Important stuff: What's next
All of the backers have now successfully filled out their reward surveys!! Thank you so much for that!! 🙌
When all the products are ready and I'll start packing orders I'll go to Backerkit and Lock your orders. That means you won't be able to make any more changes after that point. Naturally you'll receive an email before the orders are locked to give you time to make any adjustments. Until then you can still change your address, change the add-ons you added during your survey and all of that.
When the orders are locked your credit cards will get charged for any add-ons you may have ordered.
(If you didn't add any add ons, you won't receive any additional charges since you've already paid for your kickstarter pledge and shipping through Kickstarter :))
And that'll be it! All the packages will get packed up and shipped to you as soon as I've received the additional funds and we'll all be able to enjoy our shiny new pins!! 🤩

Hello friends! Yesterday at noon CET the campaign counted down it's last seconds and I'm so excited to be able to say that we've managed to fund ALL the stretch goals!! Including the Pin banner!!! 🤩
The last minute backers put us over the top and now we can start bringing this dreamy collection to life!! 🌙🙌✨
What happens next?
Step 1 : Payment
Now that the campaign has ended Kickstarter will start collecting the pledges. These funds will be gathered and sent to me in about two weeks time after which I can start to get all these goodies made! Yay! 🙌
At this point you should have received an email from Kickstarter itself confirming your payment for your pledge or letting you know there is a problem with your payment. Please check if you've received either email, it could be in your spam folder :)
If there is a problem with your payment, please sort that out as soon as possible so that I can continue on with creating the products and sending them to you! 💕
Step 2 : Surveys
You'll be receiving a survey this week where you can give me your address and where you can specify your preferences for which pins/stickers/prints etc. you want to receive so keep a look out for that! You'll be receiving these surveys from Backerkit. I hope this will give a better survey experience to both of us and it also gives you the opportunity to add something to your order if you ended up missing out on any add-ons that you still want to receive. Isn't that cool?
Step 3 : I get to work!
As soon as I've gotten the funds I'll get to work ordering all the various products and to manufacturing the things that I'll be making by hand. This can take anywhere from a few weeks to a few months. The longest wait is always for the pins but once they're in, I can start the final step of packing all your orders and shipping them out to you!
When can I expect my goodies?
At this moment that's impossible to say because it really depends on how quickly the various manufacturers can make and send the products and how quickly I can do things on my end! Packing 70+ packages takes some time as you can imagine. I've set our timeline up so that we'll have plenty of room. So I expect the packages to be shipping out to you anywhere between June and August! Of course I'll keep you updated on the progress and let you know once I start packing! Don't worry, I won't leave you hanging 💖
